Extra Credit Resources

Extra credit for cultural enrichment MUST BE INTERACTIVE AND OUTSIDE OF YOUR NORMAL, EVERYDAY, SCHOOL/STUDENT TYPE OF ACTIVITY. This means that going to a play, a movie, a museum, a restaurant, etc. alone is not enough.  Going to a curator led museum exhibition talk, a Day of the Dead festival,  a meet the author event, or another similar activity does count because of the interaction factor.  They do not have to be English or literature related.  I encourage you to attend events/activities with friends.  You must then make a small visual/written record that includes visual proof of your attendance (selfie!!!!) as well as a brief (1/2 page or so) written account of what you did, what you learned, why it mattered, why it interests you, etc.  Your presentation must be thoughtfully put together (neat, clean, creative) and reasonably sized (not a full posterboard) to be approved for the wall.  You may complete one cultural enrichment extra credit per semester.

Resources to use.  These are good places to find things to do, but there are plenty more.  Sorry there are not links, but they change all the time.  Google it!
